Mexico re-visited!

I recently traveled to Mexico and stayed at the Grand Sirenis, which is an all inclusive resort about an hour south of Cancun.  What is all inclusive you ask?  It means everything is paid for in the price of your stay.  Room, food, entertainment,  and drinks (yes, alcohol).  My husband and I had a fabulous time!  3 days of no kids and fun in the sun!  What more could you ask for!  The resort of course is located right on the beach with fabulous views of the ocean and has 3 pools, themed restaurants,  all you can eat buffets, and room service.  Every night the resort had live entertainment in their outdoor ampi-theatre and of course audience participation.  During the day, they had many different activities you could do throughout the resort, such as beach volleyball, pool games, dance lessons, i could go on!  My husband wanted to go parasailing, but they were’nt running that day,  he did however enjoy snorkling!  They also have a lazy river you can float down.  Of course who could forget the local wildlife!  There’s nothing like relaxing by the pool and having an Iguana decide to join you!  I mentioned they have themed restaurants…well, I dined at a real Japanese restaurant for the first time!  You know, the one’s where you sit down at a grill and they perform for you!  I tried Sushi and actually liked it.  That was the best experience ever!  The second night we were there, the resort had a party on the beach for us!  There’s nothing like sitting at a table on the beach enjoying live music, dancing, fresh seafood and steak , all while watching the waves roll in!  I have to say I had many “firsts” on this trip and hopefully they won’t also be my last.  Overall, we had a faubulous time and have begun to entertain ideas for our next adventure!  Oh yeah,  despite all the worry and fear, we did NOT contract the swine flu!
